feeling the discrimination,

of the mass

majority,

and the weight of their

judgement,

as red and orange

foliage

entrench their insecurities and

inhibitions,

on vibrant pink

berries,

standing alone,

are

more vibrant than

ever,

refusing to be

less,

to conform to the

needs of

the

mass majority.

watching bright lights

shoot into the sky

explosive delights

one after the other

when all was done

no building was falling

people with Canada flag

painted faces

feeling safe for

at least another night

rocks and shells

an exterior like armour

hard as a rock

protecting the delicate shell

that lies within

closed to the ones

who

can’t see beyond the shadows

of doubt

and the lies of the masses

leaving the armour

to

stop the shell from cracking

only to surface

to

the enlightened ones.

commitments,

full moon

embracing the early morning sky,

sensing the energy from the fullness

of the moon,

awaking from a deep sleep,

to the mesmerizing glow,

lifting me from the darkness,

giving me hope and promise,

seeing the aura of the trees,

absorbing their living energy,

feeling at one with the earth

and sky.

INTO THE SHADOWS – FRIDAY’S PHLOG FOR NOVEMBER 6, 2015

into the shadows

she felt his presence behind her as she walked through the darkness,

she struggled to keep her composure as she sensed he was near,

she  was looking for a place to hide when she saw a group of trick-or-treaters,

and walked amongst their shadows to hide from the presence lurking behind her,

suddenly she found herself alone to face the dark figure,

breathing in his scent she recognized his presence,

causing her confusion as he hadn’t been an earthly being for several years,

suddenly time stood still as she looked into her lover’s eyes,

her body filled with panic as he snuggled into her neck,

she felt his warmth as he moved his lips from her neck to her lips,

passionately kissing her and caressing her body,

flooded with memories of his tenderness as she parted her lips,

feeling the familiar tingling running through her body,

closing her eyes memories of their lovemaking

 possessed her mind, body and soul,

as time stood still for two distant lovers,

a mortal creature caught between the realms of earth

and the spiritual world,

suddenly she found herself alone

as if he never existed,

to walk down the street

back

into the shadows.

BROKEN

she is broken to pieces over

him,

torn from limb to limb,

emotionally exhausted,

he’s stolen her dignity and integrity,

like a thief running through the night,

a vampire feeding on her emotions

and desires,

only to leave her paralyzed with

fear and criticism,

ashamed and abandoned,

a mirror of him,

he is the abandoned one,

living with fear and insecurities,

fearful that she will see right

through him,

fearing he will be alone,

so he finds another,

a creature who only wants to be loved and

accepted,

a wounded animal crying for attention,

he’s found another because he knows,

she is too smart to stay in his

control,

his time with her has run out,

because

he is the broken one.

SEA OF LAVENDER – FRIDAY’S PHLOG FOR OCTOBER 16, 2015

field of lavender

driving through the mountains,

I spotted this sea of lavender,

rolling through miles and miles of

dry grass and barren hills,

this sea of lavender,

filled me with inspiration,

breathing in his mighty works,

a gift from our creator,

filling me with his loving presence,

giving me strength,

to fulfill my destiny.
